CarterBaldwin and Young Life are pleased to announce that Newt Crenshaw has accepted a position as President of Young Life. He will succeed Denny Rydberg after more than 23 years of service.

Newt will begin his new role with Young Life on July 15, 2016 assuming leadership from Rydberg who is the mission’s longest serving president and who has overseen a period of unprecedented growth and impact.

“Newt’s leadership gifts, his international experience, his personal integrity and deep faith, and his long history with Young Life make him the right person to join a stable and strong senior leadership team,” said Rydberg.

Prior to his experience at Young Life, Newt was a pharmaceutical executive at Eli Lilly and Company serving as the VP for Global Business Development and Advocacy at the Lilly Oncology business.

He attended DePauw University where he earned a B.A. in Economics and was named a Management Fellow at the DePauw Center of Management and Entrepreneurship

Newt and his wife, Susan, have four children, all of whom are involved with Young Life.
