CarterBaldwin Executive Search and Domain Homes are pleased to announce the placement of Jim Birkholz as President. In this role, Jim will work closely with Sharon McSwain, Founder of Domain Homes, to drive strategy and operations for the company. With expertise in both home building and investment banking, Jim brings a unique and valuable skill set to this growing and dynamic home building organization.
Jim has more than twenty years of experience in home building and high-growth environments, with a proven track record of delivering long term organizational value on the national level. He most recently served as President for Mattamy Homes’ Florida West Coast division. In this role Jim led the aggressive growth and scaling of the area and owned all building initiatives from North Tampa to South Naples, Sarasota, and Ft. Myers. The division underwent an extensive turnaround and grew from 140 homes to over 700 under Jim’s leadership. Jim has also held senior leadership positions with several other notable homebuilders including CalAtlantic, Pulte, and Centex. Prior to entering the industry, Jim started his career in investment banking, working as a financial analyst for Merrill Lynch and Robinson Humphrey.
Jim holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Miami University (Ohio) and an MBA from Northwestern University.
