Position: Strategic Advisor

Jack Briggs serves as a strategic advisor, keynote speaker, and executive mentor focused on one mission: transforming leaders and organizations by sharpening their decision-making capabilities to act with unwavering confidence when it matters most.

He is a battle-tested decision-making expert with over four decades of high-stakes leadership experience across military operations, higher education, and non-profit sectors. As a fighter pilot and general officer, he commanded tens of thousands of warfighters in combat zones including Afghanistan, culminating in a role as North America’s strategic defender against critical threats. His 30+ year military career forged his expertise in time-sensitive, consequential decision-making environments where clarity and precision determined mission success.

For the past decade, Jack has applied these decisive leadership principles to guide higher education institutions and non-profits through complex, mission-critical challenges. Jack currently serves as Assistant Vice Chancellor for Public Safety Operations at the University of Colorado Boulder. He also served as Vice President, Global Resiliency and Security at New York University and as President and CEO of Springs Rescue Mission in Colorado Springs, CO.

Jack earned his EdD in Education Leadership and Innovation from New York University. Additionally, he holds three master’s degrees focused on international relations, economics, and national security from Troy University, Budapest University of Technology and Economics, and the USAF Air War College and is a graduate of the Air Force Academy. He routinely teaches at the graduate level on Non-Profit Executive Leadership and Board Development.

In over 35 years of marriage, Jack and Margaret have moved 21 times so their three grown kids naturally live all over the country.
