
Jack Hall
Jack brings a lifetime of commitment to independent K–12 education – as a boarding school student, teacher, coach, administrator, head of school, trustee, and executive search partner – to his role as a strategic advisor at CarterBaldwin.
After his tenure as a partner at CarterBaldwin, Jack relocated from Atlanta to Richmond, Virginia, where he now serves as Upper School Head at The New Community School, an independent, co-educational day school for students with dyslexia.
Previously, Jack was Head of School at The Walker School (2011–2022), where he led the school’s largest capital campaign and launched the New Avenues Immersive Dyslexia Program. He also spent twelve years as Head of School at Augusta Preparatory Day School and eleven years at The Westminster Schools in Atlanta as a teacher, coach, and administrator.
Jack has also served as Chair of the Head of School Search Committee and as Board Chair at The Stony Brook School.
He holds a BA from Davidson College, an MS from Georgia State University, and an MA from Columbia University, where he was a Klingenstein Fellow. A graduate of The Stony Brook School, Jack and his wife, Cathy, have been married for more than 35 years and are proud parents of two adult children and grandparents of three. A native Atlantan, Jack is a devoted Braves fan, Sunday School teacher, and yardwork enthusiast who treasures time at the lake or in the mountains with family.
