Jen Tozier

Jen brings a wealth of experience in nonprofit recruiting to CarterBaldwin, with a special interest and focus on independent K-12 schools. Jen transitioned to the executive search industry in 2012 and has worked with a diverse range of clients including state university systems, independent schools, national nonprofits, and grassroots organizations.

Jen’s lifelong passion for independent education was sparked at The Stony Brook School in New York, where she boarded as a high school student. This foundation led to leadership roles as Director of Alumni at Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, NH, and Director of Development at Calvary Day School in Winston-Salem, NC.

Jen holds a BA in psychology with a minor in accounting from Gordon College in Wenham, MA. A native of western North Carolina, Jen spent more than half her life in New England and has been married to her Bostonian husband, Rick, for over three decades. They now reside in Black Mountain, NC, and have four sons and two daughters-in-law. She is actively involved in her community, serving at Bounty and Soul – a hunger relief nonprofit, and volunteering at her church. In her free time, she enjoys gravel biking, traveling, hiking tall mountains, or trying new recipes from various cuisines.
