Derek Broyard

Derek is an Associate Partner at CarterBaldwin, where he has served as a trusted advisor to CEOs, boards, and investors since 2005. He works with clients across a broad range of industries, including B2B services, industrial, manufacturing, and technology, helping leadership teams navigate talent decisions during periods of growth, transition, and strategic change.

Over the course of his career, Derek has recruited and placed C-suite leaders across North America, completing hundreds of searches over more than two decades. He partners closely with clients to define what success looks like, align stakeholders, and work through the tradeoffs that come with any significant leadership decision.

Earlier in his time at CarterBaldwin, Derek led the firm’s recruiting and research functions and played a key role in developing its proprietary search process and technology platform, contributions that shaped how the firm operates today.

Before joining CarterBaldwin, Derek was a director with the nation’s largest physician-recruiting firm, leading a team that placed physicians and department leaders at leading health systems nationwide.

A New York native, Derek earned his BS in business administration and marketing from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He lives in the Atlanta area with his wife and children and, outside of work, can usually be found volunteering at his children’s school or in the community, or rooting for his beloved 49ers.
