CarterBaldwin Executive Search is proud to partner again with faith-based education nonprofit Edify in the appointment of Dan Macaluso as Chief Development Officer.
An established advancement leader and campaign strategist, Dan joins Edify from Abilene Christian University, where he served as Vice President for Advancement.
During his tenure, he led the university’s $250 million comprehensive campaign past the $300 million mark, securing the largest academic gift in ACU’s history ($29M) and its first academic naming gift ($25M). Prior to ACU, Dan served as Senior Consultant and Principal at Marts & Lundy, advising premier institutions, including Caltech, Rice University, and The Brookings Institution, on campaign readiness, fundraising strategy, and organizational growth.
Dan also served as Vice President for Advancement at Harvey Mudd College, where he led the institution through its most successful fundraising period, more than doubling annual giving from under $8 million to over $20 million. At Emory University, Dan co-directed a $1.6 billion campaign overseeing fundraising strategy and execution for all academic units and university programs. His earlier career includes roles at the University of Texas at Austin and Penn State University.
A native of State College, PA, Dan holds a BS in marketing from Penn State University.
