CarterBaldwin Executive Search is pleased to announce the appointment of Kristen DeVries as the ministry’s next President and Chief Executive Officer.

Recognized for driving transformative change through strategic innovation, team development, and relationship-centered fundraising, Kristen’s expertise spans campaign development, planned giving, and talent cultivation.

She joins CFA from Western Michigan University, where she served as Vice President, Development and Alumni Relations and Executive Director for the WMU Foundation. Under her leadership, WMU secured a historic $550M anonymous gift and launched the University’s first comprehensive campaign in 15 years, reaching 65% of a $1.25B goal halfway through.

Prior to WMU, Kristen served in leadership advancement roles at Lawrence Technological University, Drexel University, and University of North Texas, where she consistently exceeded fundraising goals by fostering cultures of excellence and broadening constituent engagement.

Earlier in her career, she honed her planned giving expertise at National Jewish Medical and Research Center and began her philanthropy journey at Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.

Kristen holds a BA from Wheaton College.
