CarterBaldwin Executive Search, together with Yampa Valley Electric Association, Inc. Board of Directors, is pleased to announce the appointment of Scott Blecke as the electric cooperative’s next Chief Executive Officer.

Scott brings more than 20 years of experience as a forward-thinking, strategic engineering executive to YVEA, with a proven track record in developing trusting relationships and adding value to cooperative utilities. Previously, Scott served as the Chief Strategy Officer at Great Lakes Energy Cooperative headquartered in Boyne City, MI where he began his career in 2004. During his tenure at GLE, he held various roles including Electrical Engineer, Engineering Director, and Vice President of Engineering, before his promotion to Chief Strategy Officer in 2022. He was instrumental in leading the construction and engineering efforts for Truestream, one of the largest fiber-to-the-home projects in the nation, which has brought high-speed internet and voice services to 22,000 cooperative members in rural Michigan.

Scott earned an MBA and BS in electrical engineering from Michigan Technological University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Michigan.
