CarterBaldwin Executive Search announces the appointment of Terrin Courtney as Vice President, Human Resources for Copperweld Bimetallics, Inc. (Copperweld). Terrin is the company’s first Human Resources executive for this aggressively scaling, high growth private equity investment and will be a critical member of the executive team.
Terrin joins Copperweld from Marelli (Colsonic Kansei North America), a Japanese manufacturer of engineered solutions for the motor vehicle industry. As a Human Resources Business Partner, she led all of HR across the interiors division including 1000+ employees in the US, 400 R&D professionals, and four plants in Mexico. She began her career in human resources at Calsonic, where she was promoted through the ranks and gained significant best practice experience and exposure to all HR facets of the international, multi-manufacturing site company.
In her new role, Terrin will develop a comprehensive human capital strategy to support Coppperweld’s rapid growth trajectory, which will include both new manufacturing sites and acquisitions. With that, she will be responsible for solving complex organizational and people challenges, building strong teams, managing change, measuring results, and implementing best practices and cultural uniformity.
Born and raised in Detroit, MI, Terrin earned her BBA in Human Resources Management from the University of Michigan – Dearborn.
