CarterBaldwin Executive Search, together with Doyon Utilities, LLC, is pleased to announce the appointment of Tina Ko as the Fairbanks, Alaska-based utility’s first Chief Operating Officer.

Tina joins Doyon Utilities after more than 25 years with the US Department of Energy, most recently serving as COO of the Western Area Power Administration. There, she oversaw seven major business functions across the $1.5B organization with 1,500 FTEs, launched a comprehensive safety strategy, and oversaw $600M+ in capital expenditures to address critical infrastructure needs.
Earlier in her career, Tina spent two decades with Bonneville Power Administration, where she advanced through progressive leadership roles. As Vice President of Transmission Marketing and Sales, she generated $60M in new revenue and expanded transmission services to support renewable energy integration. As Deputy COO, she drove enterprise-wide strategic alignment and operational efficiency across an organization of 3,000+ employees.
Tina holds an MBA in finance and a BA in economics from Willamette University in Oregon.
