CarterBaldwin Executive Search and Mohawk Industries (NYSE: MHK) are pleased to announce the placement of Andy Yearout as Vice President of Distribution for North America.  As the world’s largest flooring company, Mohawk manufactures in 19 countries, sells in over 170, and has revenues of almost $10 billion, earning it #315 on Fortune’s annual ‘500’ list.

Andy joins Mohawk from FleetPride (former TPG portfolio company), the largest independent heavy-duty aftermarket parts distributor in the US, after its successful exit to American Securities.  At FleetPride, Andy served as Senior Vice President of Supply Chain as well as General Manager for their wholesale BU, Parts Distributing Company

Prior to FleetPride, Andy held several executive operations and general management roles within Unisource Worldwide (a Bain Capital portfolio company), which would eventually merge with Xpedx, before going public as Veritiv (NYSE: VRTV).  When Andy left Veritiv, he was Vice President of Supply Chain, responsible for 157 warehouse locations and a private fleet of 1,000 vehicles, while serving as GM of its Logistics Solutions business.

Andy’s early career was in office products where he had leadership roles across Operations, Sales and Marketing.

As Mohawk’s new Vice President of Distribution, Andy will lead a centralized distribution organization that supports all five of the company’s business units and at any given time manages over $1B in inventory.  He will be responsible for the vision, strategy, execution, and continuous improvement for the organization, ensuring that it scales with Mohawk’s continued growth. Andy will also partner with supply chain and manufacturing leadership to develop and implement optimal service delivery strategies for the modern age, while leveraging warehouse resources and advising on capital investments to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
