CarterBaldwin Executive Search is proud to partner again with Mohawk Industries (NYSE: MHK) in the appointment of Joe Ahlersmeyer as Vice President of Investor Relations.
Joe brings a background that crosses sell-side equity research, corporate IR, and M&A communications in the building products sector,with direct experience translating complex, industrial businesses to a sophisticated institutional investor base. In this newly created role, he will build and lead a standalone IR function for Mohawk, serving as the primary owner of the company’s equity story and external investor engagement.
Most recently, he served as Vice President of Investor Relations at James Hardie Industries (NYSE: JHI), where he modernized the company’s IR function ahead of its acquisition of The AZEK Company (NYSE: AZEK). Joe also directed the global marketing effort to reposition the combined company with U.S. institutional investors, effectively orchestrating a US IPO-scale investor engagement.
Prior to James Hardie, Joe served as Lead Analyst at Deutsche Bank, where he rebuilt the firm’s housing and building products coverage from dormancy, covering public companies across manufacturers, distributors, and homebuilders, including Mohawk. Before Deutsche Bank, he was a member of the #1-ranked Institutional Investor team at Evercore ISI.
Joe holds an MBA and a BS in economics from Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management and is a CFA charterholder.
