After a nationwide search led by CarterBaldwin Executive Search, the Tri-County Electric Cooperative Board of Directors is pleased to announce Scott Spence as President and Chief Executive Officer.

Scott formerly served as President and CEO for Duck River Electric Membership Corporation in Tennessee and brings nearly 30 years of experience working in the energy industry. He’s held numerous positions with utility companies in his career, including Arab Electric Cooperative in Alabama, Cooperative Energy in Mississippi and the Tennessee Valley Authority.

“With extensive experience in the technical aspects of our industry, deep knowledge and understanding of the co-op model and his passion for supporting members and employees, Scott Spence is well-positioned to lead this cooperative into the future,” Board Chair Max Waddell said.

Scott earned his MBA in finance and risk management from the University of Georgia and his BS in finance from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
