Earlier this week, the CarterBaldwin team partnered with HouseProud Atlanta, a nonprofit organization that provides no-cost home repairs to low-income senior, veteran, and disabled homeowners across metro Atlanta in a Day of Service.

It was an amazing day, as we put both our home improvement and teamwork skills to the test to revitalize the home of one of Atlanta’s veteran seniors who has relied on HouseProud Atlanta to help maintain his home so that he can continue to live there.

We were truly inspired by the work HouseProud Atlanta does within the community. Partner Chris Guiney perhaps summed up the day best: “What a great Day of Service. My favorite CB outing of all time! Get dirty, give back, have fun…let’s do it again!”

About HouseProud Atlanta
Founded in 2010, HouseProud’s mission is to provide no-cost home repairs to low-income senior, veteran, and disabled homeowners while partnering with community organizations to help them remain connected in their neighborhoods. HouseProud Atlanta works with local community groups to identify seniors, veterans, and disabled people who can benefit most from repairs designed to make their homes livable, so they can remain in them longer. The staff works closely with highly qualified, licensed, and insured contractors to perform the repairs and relies on volunteers to provide low to moderate level repairs including painting, siding repair, handrail installation, and drywall replacement. All volunteer groups are led by contractors.
