The CarterBaldwin team exercised their painting and landscaping skills earlier this week as they partnered with HouseProud Atlanta in their annual Day of Service. This was the second consecutive year CarterBaldwin teamed up with HouseProud Atlanta, a nonprofit organization that provides no-cost home repairs to low-income senior, veteran, and disabled homeowners across metro Atlanta.

This year, the team of 25 ascended on the residence of a single grandmother who has relied on HouseProud Atlanta to help maintain her home so that she can continue to live there. They painted the entire house and tended to the landscape by trimming overgrown tree branches and planting flowers and bushes near the entrance. The result was dramatic – so much so, that when the granddaughter of the homeowner was dropped off from school, she couldn’t believe it was the same house!

CarterBaldwin is honored to give back to HouseProud Atlanta in its 20th year serving underserved homeowners in the communities of Atlanta. We look forward to next year’s Day of Service.

About HouseProud Atlanta
Founded in 2010, HouseProud’s mission is to provide no-cost home repairs to low-income senior, veteran, and disabled homeowners while partnering with community organizations to help them remain connected in their neighborhoods. HouseProud Atlanta works with local community groups to identify seniors, veterans, and disabled people who can benefit most from repairs designed to make their homes livable, so they can remain in them longer. The staff works closely with highly qualified, licensed, and insured contractors to perform the repairs and relies on volunteers to provide low to moderate level repairs including painting, siding repair, handrail installation, and drywall replacement. All volunteer groups are led by contractors.
