CarterBaldwin Executive Search announces the appointment of Brett Kohler as Vice President, Human Resources for AWT Labels & Packaging, a Morgan Stanley Capital Partners-backed company. In this newly created position, Brett will serve as a member of the executive management team and a business partner to the CEO and be responsible for overseeing all HR functions across the company and its multiple locations.
Brett joins AWT from Dura Supreme Cabinetry, where he served as Human Resources Director for the 1200 employee, private equity owned company. There, he successfully managed a post-acquisition integration and led a significant rebuilding of the HR function.
Prior to Dura Supreme Cabinetry, Brett spent more than 16 years establishing an HR foundation at Emerson Automation Solutions, serving as a compensation analyst, global mobility manager, human resources manager and director.
A Wisconsin native, Brett earned his BS in psychology from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls and his MA in human resources and industrial relations from the University of Minnesota.
