CarterBaldwin Executive Search, together with Restore NYC, announces the appointment of Edward (Ed) Sirya as Chief Operating Officer for the nonprofit organization serving survivors of human trafficking in the United States. Ed will partner with Restore’s new CEO Ida Kaastra-Mutoigo and play a critical strategic role in leading and growing the organization.
Ed comes to Restore from Central Presbyterian Church of New York where he was Pastor of care and community and contributed to a significant growth in attendance (>90%) during his four years of leadership. Prior to CPC, Ed spent six years serving as director of ministry and Pastor at Redeemer Presbyterian Church, where, in addition to preaching and providing pastoral care, he developed spiritual formation programs and launched and directed Redeemer’s Pastoral Residency Program.
Before pivoting to pastoral ministry, Ed was a research scientist at Weill Cornell Medicine and ImClone Systems, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Eli Lilly and Company, and ProThera Biologics.
Ed earned his BS in biology from Providence College and his MDiv from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He is an ordained minister in the Evangelical Presbyterian Church and in the Presbyterian Church in America.
