Project Description
CarterBaldwin Executive Search, together with Rockford Christian School’s Board of Directors, are pleased to introduce Jahna Duda as the next Head of School at Rockford Christian Schools.
Jahna will succeed Superintendent Paul Brandt in July 2022. She was unanimously recommended by the Head of School Search Committee to the Board of Directors which unanimously approved her appointment. Jahna is an experienced leader in Christian education who is well-equipped to position Rockford Christian Schools for long-term success.
Born and raised in Montana, Jahna began her career in Christian education 22 years ago and is currently serving as the Senior Director of Academics at Des Moines Christian School where she oversees EE-12 academic programming. She holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education with a minor in mathematics and a master’s degree in educational leadership. She will complete her PhD in education this summer through Drake University when she defends her dissertation focused on adolescent purpose as it relates to mental health issues.
In her current role, she partners closely with the superintendent to implement strategic goals tied to teaching and learning. From academics to mental health to spiritual formation, Jahna leads principals and faculty in professional development focused on creating favorable environments where students and faculty flourish. In addition, her role included fostering relationships with community partners to bring on-site mental health services to DMC as well as providing student access to internships and training for employees on nurturing student identity and purpose.
“God’s hand has been evident at each stage of the search process, and we are encouraged to see what He will do through Jahna in the coming years as we build on Rockford Christian’s commitment to Christ, community, and excellence” said HOS search committee chair, Gary Love.
About Rockford Christian Schools
As an independent, nondenominational Christian PK-12 school located in Rockford, IL, Rockford Christian Schools (RCS) is dedicated to high standards of academic excellence and spiritual growth. All of the school’s programs, whether academic, athletic or social, revolve around the understanding that people are spiritual beings, and that God has uniquely wired each person with gifts and abilities. The school is run on the principle that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God and that it provides guidance for all aspects of life.
