The Board of Directors launched a search in early 2012, recognizing that to achieve long-term success, the owners need to craft a company that can flourish without them. Building the next-generation of leaders is one of Rea’s four strategic initiatives. The board accomplished an important step in succession planning when Scott Harrison, was hired as president and CEO.
Mr. Harrison comes to Rea with more than 10 years of senior leadership experience and over 25 years of managing operations. Prior to Rea, he was CEO of Azure Dynamics and Group President of two divisions within Hayes Lemmerz International. He started his career with General Motors Corporation and Allied Signal. Harrison received his master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Dayton and his bachelor’s degree also in Electrical Engineering from Ohio State University.

Rea produces copper and aluminum insulated magnet wire and bare wire used in the manufacture of motors, transformers and coils. The company has operations throughout the world and is headquartered out of Fort Wayne, IN.
