CarterBaldwin Executive Search is proud to partner again with Bethany Christian Services in the appointment of Lorita Shirley as Chief Operating Officer for the global nonprofit.
Lorita will partner with the CEO to align all of Bethany’s programs, processes, and resources, equipping the organization to accomplish its mission today and realize its vision for the future.
A recognized leader in social services and child welfare, Lorita brings more than 30 years of experience in both public and private sectors, including fundraising, media relations, corporate oversight, and process improvement. She joins Bethany from Eckerd Connects, a youth services organization for vulnerable children and families, where she served for more than 14 years as Executive Director, Chief of Community Based Care, and ultimately Chief of Performance and Quality.
Prior to Eckerd, Lorita served as assistant executive director of Heartland for Children and program administrator for the Florida Department of Children and Families.
Lorita earned her Bachelor and Master of Social Work degrees from Florida State University, where she also competed on the cross country and track and field teams.
