Project Description

CarterBaldwin Executive Search, together with Christ Presbyterian Academy (CPA), is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Nate Miley as the new Head of Middle School, beginning January 2023.

Miley comes to CPA with seventeen years of experience as an educator, most recently serving as Executive Principal of Crieve Hall Elementary School (CHES), a Metro Nashville Public School. Prior to CHES, Miley was the assistant principal at Marion Community Schools in Marion, IN and taught for seven years at Hamilton Southeastern Schools in Fishers, IN. He also produced and hosted “Ask a Principal” podcast.

Miley’s years of classroom teaching experience in Indiana ignited his passion for the learning process, engaging with students, and building an atmosphere of trust and connection to facilitate growth. Transitioning into school leadership at CHES in Nashville continued to highlight his ability to motivate faculty and staff to their highest potential, building a tight-knit community with transparent leadership, student-centric strategies, and data-informed progress. The school was awarded #1 best elementary school in Davidson County in 2018 and continued to earn high honors from the state in 2018, 2019, and 2022.

A native of Indianapolis, Miley earned an EdD in educational administration and supervision from Ball State University, an EdS in school administration from Indiana State University, an MEd at Indiana Wesleyan University and a BA in elementary education from Taylor University.
