Dennis Marquardt has been named Dean. He comes to Harding from Abilene Christian University, where he served as Associate Professor of Management and Director of the Lytle Center for Faith and Leadership. A respected scholar and educator, his work integrates business excellence and Christian servant leadership. Prior to Abilene Christian, Marquardt taught at both the collegiate level as well as in public and Catholic K-12 schools.

He holds a BA in business from Lipscomb University, an MBA and MEd in curriculum and instruction from Concordia University-Wisconsin, and a PhD in management from The University of Texas at Arlington.
Brett Biggs, who recently retired as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Walmart (NASDAQ: WMT), returns to his alma mater to serve as Senior Advisor to the President and Executive in Residence. He currently serves on the boards of Procter & Gamble, Yum! Brands, Adobe, and J.B. Hunt, and previously served as a senior advisor at Blackstone. Brett began his career at Price Waterhouse and Conoco Phillips.
“Brett Biggs is a principled leader with exceptional business acumen,” said Doug McMillon, former CEO of Walmart. “His rich insight will greatly enhance the strategic direction of the University and the Carter College of Business Administration.”
He is a 1990 alumnus of Harding’s College of Business Administration and holds an MBA from Oklahoma State University.
