CarterBaldwin Executive Search is proud to partner again with Dallas Theological Seminary in the appointment of Dr. April Moreton as Vice President for Advancement.
Moreton brings more than 20 years of senior leadership experience across faith-based higher education and global ministry to DTS, most recently serving as Executive Director of Advancement and Communications for The Evangelical Alliance Mission (TEAM). There, she relaunched the organization’s major giving strategy, helped develop TEAM’s strategic fundraising plan, and led the global advancement team to consistently exceed annual revenue goals.
Prior to TEAM, Moreton was Vice President for Institutional Advancement at the University of Northwestern–St. Paul, where she significantly increased individual giving and launched the university’s inaugural President’s Gathering. She also spent 16 years at John Brown University in progressively senior advancement roles, helping lead $100 million and $125 million comprehensive campaigns.
Moreton holds a PhD in higher education from the University of North Texas, an MA in Christian education from Dallas Theological Seminary, and a bachelor’s degree in vocal performance from Texas Christian University. She is a Certified Fund Raising Executive.
