Project Description

CarterBaldwin Executive Search, together with the Order of Friars Minor, announces the appointment of Dr. Kerting Baldwin as Executive Director of Communications and Engagement for Franciscan Charities.

Baldwin began her career in journalism as a reporter for The Miami Herald, The Tampa Tribune, and The Boca Raton News. An interest in healthcare led her to the University of Miami School of Medicine, where she served as a medical writer and began integrating her writing and reporting skills into their public relations department.

In 2000, Baldwin was recruited to join Memorial Healthcare System, where she most recently served as administrative director, corporate communications, leading PR/media relations, social media, crisis communications, reputation management, and content and video development.

At Franciscan Charities, Baldwin will be responsible for developing and implementing the communications and engagement strategy for a new Renewal and Restructuring Program aimed to revitalize the Franciscan life and ministry in the United States.

Born in Nicaragua, Baldwin came to the US when she was five. She earned her EdD in educational leadership from St. Thomas University, her MALS in literature from the University of Miami, and her BA in communication from Florida International University. She speaks English and Spanish.
