Project Description

CarterBaldwin and Legacy Christian Academy are pleased to announce that Bill McGee has been named as the schools next headmaster.

McGee will join the school in mid-June, becoming the school’s third headmaster and replacing Chris Harmon, who is going to the Savannah Christian Preparatory School in Georgia.

“Legacy strives to be a shining light for Frisco area residents who desire a strong Christian-based education,” Robert Copple, Legacy Christian Academy school board chairman, said in announcing the change. “Mr. McGee embodies the spiritual leadership, strong moral character and depth of experience Legacy has been searching for to lead us into the future and build upon the firm foundation and academic excellence Dr. Chris Harmon has created during his tenure as our headmaster.”

McGee and his wife, Janna, will be joining Legacy from Hill Country Christian School of Austin. He has 34 years of experience as a classroom teacher, coach and administrator, including 24 years as headmaster of Christian and college-preparatory schools, as well as 10 years as a teacher, coach and principal in the Texas public school system.

“Janna and I are honored to accept the call to serve Legacy Christian Academy,” McGee said. “We are excited about the opportunity to serve a school that is recognized as one of the best Christian schools, not only in North Texas, but in the nation.”
