CarterBaldwin Executive Search, together with the Louisiana Christian University Board of Trustees, is pleased to announce the naming of Dr. Mark Johnson as the school’s tenth President.

“We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Mark Johnson has been elected by the Louisiana Christian University Board of Trustees as the next president of our esteemed institution,” said Anthony Bunting, chair of the Board of Trustees. “Dr. Johnson’s exemplary leadership and profound love for the students and staff will undoubtedly support our mission and foster the growth and support of our university.”

Johnson joins LCU from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, where he served as assistant professor of evangelism and pastoral ministries and director of the Doctor of Ministry Division.

Prior to NOBTS, Johnson pastored Baptist churches in Cleveland and New Orleans. He also had a stint as a professional basketball player in Europe and South America.

A third-generation Baptist minister, Johnson earned a DMin from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, an MTh and MDiv from Princeton Theological Seminary, and a BA in English from Washington and Jefferson College. He is currently pursuing his PhD in evangelism at NOBTS and serves as a trustee of Washington and Jefferson College.
