CarterBaldwin Executive Search announces the appointment of Air Force veteran Darrin Layton as President, Mountville Rubber Company, a newly formed division of floor mat manufacturer Mountville Mills, Inc.
Mountville Rubber Company produces rubber products leveraged by external customers and Mountville Mills for their key product offerings. As President, Darrin will lead the business, uncover and drive operational improvements, and identify and secure new commercial opportunities.
Darrin joins Mountville with more than seven years of manufacturing leadership experience, most recently as Director of Manufacturing for Carlisle Spray Foam Insulation (formerly Accella), where he led operations for the largest spray foam polyurethane insulation and roof coatings plant by volume in North America, and was responsible for strategic planning, policy deployment, and business development. He gained a foundation in manufacturing best practices earlier in his career at automotive components manufacturer Tenneco (NYSE: TEN).
A Kansas City native, Darrin earned an MBA in finance from Capella University and a BS in Liberal Studies from Excelsior College. He spent 24 years in the United States Air Force (13 as an officer) and served in Afghanistan.
