CarterBaldwin Executive Search is proud to partner again with Palm Beach Atlantic University (PBA) in the appointments of Steve Alderman as General Counsel and Stacie Bowie as Chief Financial Officer. Both will serve in the President’s Cabinet.

Steve joins PBA with more than 20 years of leadership experience in human resources and financial operations, as well as 13 years as general counsel, spanning both higher education and industry. Most recently, he worked for South Texas College of Law Houston for more than 16 years, ultimately serving as chief operating officer and general counsel.

Prior to South Texas, Steve was an associate professor at Houghton College, his alma mater. He earned his JD and MBA from the University of Denver.

Stacie comes to PBA with 30 years of experience in financial and operational leadership in both the higher education and corporate sectors. Most recently, she served as vice president for finance and administration at Lander University in South Carolina.

Prior to Lander, Bowie served as Coastal Carolina University’s vice president for finance and administration and CFO and as a senior vice president with Stephens Inc., where she was a municipal financial advisor with a specialization in higher education.

Stacie holds a Doctor of Business Administration degree from Rollins College and an MBA from Coastal Carolina University. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting from the University of Maryland.
